We lived in London a couple years ago. It means we don”t live in there anymore.

Bývali sme v Londýne pred pár rokmi a už tam nebývame.

We have lived in London our whole lives. It means we are still living there.  

Bývame v Londýne celý život. V angličtine “have lived” znamená, že bývali a aj v súčasntnosti bývajú.
